01Introduction and scope

Brandneeva (“Brandneeva”, “we”, “us” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, share and protect personal data when you visit our website, create an account, or use the Brandneeva platform and related services (together, the “Services”).

This Policy is published in accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011, read with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. By using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read this Policy.

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, keep the Services secure, and understand how the Services are used so we can improve them. Some cookies are essential for the Services to function; others are optional.

You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect how parts of the Services work.

05How we use your information

We use personal data to:

  • Create and manage your account and provide, operate and maintain the Services.

07Data we process for merchants

When a merchant uses Brandneeva to run a store, that merchant decides what customer data to collect and is the Data Fiduciary for their shoppers’ personal data. In relation to that data, Brandneeva acts as a processor and handles it on the merchant’s instructions to provide the Services.

If you are a shopper and have a question or request about data a store holds, please contact that store directly. We will support merchants in responding to such requests as required by law.

08How we share information

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only as described here:

  • With service providers who process data on our behalf — such as cloud hosting, payment gateway, communications, shipping and analytics providers — under obligations of confidentiality and security.
  • Where required to comply with applicable law, a legal process, or a lawful request by a government or regulatory authority, or to protect our rights, users or the public.
  • In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing or sale of all or part of our business, subject to this Policy continuing to protect your data.
  • With your consent or at your direction, for example when you connect a third-party integration.

10Storage and international transfers

Your personal data may be stored and processed in India and, where our service providers operate, in other countries. Where data is transferred outside India, we take steps to ensure it remains protected and that any transfer is carried out in accordance with applicable law.

11Data retention

We keep personal data for as long as your account is active and for as long as needed to provide the Services. We may retain certain data after that where required to comply with legal, tax, accounting or regulatory obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements, after which it is deleted or anonymised.

12How we protect your information

We maintain reasonable security practices and procedures — including technical, organisational and physical safeguards such as encryption in transit, access controls and monitoring — designed to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, misuse or alteration. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security; information transmitted over the internet is at your own risk.

13Children’s data

The Services are intended for businesses and users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
